Every day about 80,000 of these people die totally without hope. One person dies without having heard the name of Jesus every time your pulse beats.
And the vast majority of these people live in Asian countries that have closed their borders to Western missionary workers. How will the Great Commission ever be fulfilled under these circumstances?
But God has opened a way! An organization called Gospel for Asia has been blessed to have a part in opening the door on the most unreached. Their focus is to train and support qualified national workers to reach their own people for Christ.
GFA currently supports more than 16,500 native missionaries and pastors in 10 Asian countries. The ministry goal is to eventually train and send 100,000 native missionaries into the most remote unreached villages in Asia and tell them about Jesus.
These native missionaries preach the Gospel, plant Churches, and train disciples to spiritual maturity. In other words, they are fulfilling the Great Commission in their own countries.
But they are not doing it alone. Thousands of Christians around the world share in this work through generous financial giving and faithful prayer.
And a small but vital team of people working out of Dallas, Texas, keeps the resources and information flowing where needed. As a result, 17 new fellowships are planted every day on the mission field.
By an amazing gift of grace, God has called me to join with the GFA home team staff in Dallas and give my life to help reach millions with the Gospel.
GFA sends 100% of the money people donate for missions work to the field. That is, they don't "cut off the top" for overhead and administration. Because of this policy, staff are asked to raise their own support so that they can serve without being a burden to the ministry.
I have been asked by GFA to raise $1,700 of monthly support, to cover my personal living expenses. I have $450 raised so far. I am trusting God to call 12 people to support me for $100 a month, or perhaps 120 people and $10 a month.
However it happens, God has called me to this work, so I am confident that he will supply all my needs. I just need to be faithful to let people know about this opportunity to help bring millions into the Kingdom, and to ask them to pray about how they might want to be involved in it.
